How to Start
There are several ways to start roleplaying in Lost-Athens. You can attend one of our Live Role-plays (LRP)  and introduce your character to the other characters there. You can also post a submission with either your character wandering around and wait for someone to respond with a submission, or post a submission with your character introducing themselves to other characters (if you receive the player’s permission first).

Character Application
:bulletred: A visual reference must be included with your character. The reference may either be drawn by you, or by someone who has agreed to let you use the image. You may also use line art to make your character, as long as you receive permission from the original artist first. For your reference, we prefer that you provide an unshaded image. If your image does have shading, at least provide a color palette. This makes it easier for others to draw your character.

:bulletred:Regarding Strengths and Weaknesses:bulletred:
A character must have a considerable balance between their strengths, abilities, and their weaknesses. If they have a really powerful ability, it must be equaled out with a pretty major weakness. While weaknesses can outweigh strengths, vice versa is not allowed. Whether you choose to have several minor weaknesses, or a few major ones is up to you. Personality traits do not belong here. For example, do not put “Afraid of fire” or “Would not hurt a child” in this section. These belong under Personality and will not be counted as weaknesses.

-Impaired hearing/deafness, anemic, slow, physical weakness, a limp, practical weak spots, easily dislocated bones, fragile bone structure, poor balance, poor maneuverability, frequent fainting/headaches/vomiting, heart condition, epileptic, narcoleptic, previous injuries, arthritis, blood condition (and its effects), and abnormally low or high body temperature

Please note that none of the following can be counted as weaknesses.

-Not being able to swim
-Blindness when compensated for by another sense (stronger hearing/smell/aura sensing/etc)
-Limitations on strengths/abilities (ex: character can only throw five fireballs a day. This is still five more than a normal dog can throw.)
-Things that are normal and apply to any character (ex: "Will be tired and out of breath after a long fight" or "Weak point at the jugular.")
-Weaknesses conditional upon the breed standards. (ex: "Small for a St. Bernard" or "weak for a pitbull.")
-Weaknesses that only apply under a very stringent set of guidelines. As a rule of thumb, if you have to spend several sentences explaining how and when a weakness is taken into effect, it's probably too conditional. (ex: "Very susceptible to cold" -this only applies in winter- or "has a hard time breathing in high humidity" -whether or not it is humid is entirely up to the player to decide, making it easy to disregard this weakness entirely-)

I'm making a chowchow x shar pei and was wondering if this would be considered a weakness. Since his face is short and he has folds of fur and skin his eyes are pressed up to look like he's wincing all the time, his eyes are in good health but his eye sight is poor due to the folds.
